In case you missed it...

Wao ...and I'm sure you did, since it's impossible to find book stories on our fabulous website: click here to read my Pulitzer reaction story.

Letts_2Another interesting tidbit that didn't make it into the paper: Tracy Letts won the drama prize for August: Osage County. He's the son of novelist Billie Letts, who wrote the Wal-Mart drama Where the Face Heart Is. You may recall the movie with Natalie Portman. Billie has a new novel out this summer, Made in the U.S.A., which takes place in a town called Spearfish, South Dakota. Or is it North Dakota? I can never tell those states apart.

This story seems to be lacking the quite salient information that Junot Diaz is a fan of "Rock of Love."

I know! I really wonder which stripper Junot prefers: Destiney or Ambre?

Clearly, strippers do not possess the spelling DNA. I wonder if strippers' favorite book is the Bible.

I suspect the contestants on Rock of Love have a single favorite book: The Idiot's Guide to Boob Jobs.

HOW DARE YOU? Ambre is not a strippre. She is an actress! (Look, a word in which the 'r' does logically precede the 'e'!) Daisy, however, is a stripper. Which is kind of weird that that was never an issue before, because, as everyone knows, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" was written about a stripper who broke Bret's heart, and that's one of the reasons he chose Jes last season over the most awesomest Heather, because he's very wary of the heartbreaking tendencies of strippers.

And now I will return to my reading of Proust in the original ... uh, Portuguese?

I don't know if you know this but every cowboy sings a sad, sad song.

Um, this is not the first season of this show? Wow. I guess I should branch out and not spend all my time watching Flavor of Love.
