Stephen King stories - straight to your video phone

King Monday is the first day fans can download the first installment of N, a series of mobile phone-friendly video episodes adapted from Stephen King's upcoming story collection Just After Sunset. Publishers Weekly reports that Scribner, S&S Digital, CBS Mobile and Marvel Entertainment collaborated to create N, which has a full cast of voice actors performing 2-minute videos.

The episodes, PW says, will be available to mobile phone users free through CBS Mobile; on the Web through CBS Audience Network and its partners, including AOL, Microsoft and Yahoo; and at www.NisHere.com. You can also download episodes, 99 cents for five, or $3.99 for all 25. A limited printed collectors edition of the book, packaged with a DVD of all 25 episodes, will be available when the regular edition of Just After Sunset goes on sale on Nov. 11.

The previously unpublished story N is the tale of a psychiatrist who falls prey to the same dangerous obsession as his patient.
