So I'm at the end of Three Cups of Tea, which I'm enjoying quite a bit. I've got three CDs to go. Yes! Almost there! Light at the end of the tunnel! And what happens but the second half of the third-to-last CD refuses to play. Just...stops. It doesn't looked smudged or scratched, but it sure isn't working.
Allow me to indulge myself in a hearty Charlie Brown-esque scream right about now: AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I went on to the penultimate CD because what else can I do?
A disclaimer: a kind rep at Tantor saw this and offered me a new copy of this audiobook and apologized for the defect. Incredibly nice, but I had checked it out from the library, and I suspect the fault was not the maker but the sloblike creatures who checked it out (unlike me - I'm careful, even with audiobooks. Just ask my mom.)
