This is the question I'm pondering today, the day after having my DirecTV installed (and having my big dog bark ferociously at the satellite dish for an hour after the installation guy was gone. Funny as hell but headache inducing.)
Anyway the new TV looks great, and I have fifty billion channels or something like that. And I'm wondering if I'm going to watch more movies and neglect the fifty billion books awaiting my attention.
And then I remembered: Bride Wars. And I was relieved.
Way too many movies are just as dreadful as this Kate Hudson/Anne Hathaway comedy, and it's dreadful. I mean that from the very bottom of my ovaries. I don't care how much you like chick flicks - and remember, I actually liked 27 Dresses - this one is a mess, a waste of 90 minutes of your life. Anything - a traffic jam, a mammogram, shopping the sale racks at Ross - is more entertaining. I mean, just LOOK at Anne Hathaway - who is a revelation in Rachel Getting Married - over there, all orange. Isn't that HILARIOUS? I know I can't stop laughing. Her bad tan is almost as rip-roaring as Kate Hudson's blue hair. Ha. Ha. Ha.
So I breathe a sigh of relief. My reading time is safe from assault - especially with football season winding down.
