Spring writing workshops at Miami Dade College

The Florida Center for the Literary Arts is offering three and four day intensive writing workshops May 6-9 at Miami Dade College's Wolfson campus.

This round's lineup of instructors is impressive: Esmeralda Santiago, Mark Doty, Lynne Barrett, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, Percival Everett, Steve Almond, Pete Collins, Andrea Askowitz, Anjanette Delgado, Some bad news: Doty's poetry workshop is already full, so sign up now for anything you might want to check out.

The cost:

One three-day workshop: $225 (includes lunch Wednesday Friday)

  • One four-day workshop: $250 (includes lunch Wednesday Saturday)
  • Any two workshops: $400
  • Daily briefing lectures: $40 each
  • Manuscript consultation: $80
  • The whole enchilada – any two workshops, all daily briefings, plus one manuscript consultation for $525.
