Quirk's latest: "Dawn of the Dreadfuls"

Dreadfuls Quirk Classics - the publisher behind Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters - has launched its new website with some great news: The title of its next literary monster mashup: the prequel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls.

We will learn how the zombie menace exploded in 19th century England and how Elizabeth Bennet went from naive young girl to slaying superstar (apparently there were some issues with the nunchucks). Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer in petticoats.

Monsters You can also meet Ben Winters, one of the authors of Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters ("Romance! Heartbreak! Tentacles!" exclaims one of Quirk's ads) and Quirk editor Jason Rekulak, one of the twisted minds responsible for this mashup mayhem at Miami Book Fair International. They'll appear at 1 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Centre Gallery.

Co-author Jane Austen is unlikely to attend.
