Writing workshops at the book fair

Miami Book Fair International: It's not just about seeing your favorite authors and buying books (though those things are good, too). The Florida Center for the Literary Arts will also host workshops with a couple of writers on Nov. 13, so you can brush up your writing skills, too.

Mccorkle Each workshop is $50 and requires preregistration; visit the FCLA website or call 305-237-3023.

Noon- 2 p.m.: Jill McCorkle (over there on the right) and "Finding Truth in Fiction"

2:30-4:30 p.m.: Screenwriter/producer Paula Mazur and "Words Into Pictures"

5-7 p.m.: Book industry professionals PJ Campbell and Kirsten Neuhaus and "Inside the World of Publishing."
