Louis Auchincloss dead at 92

Louis The end of January, apparently, is an unfortunate time to be an elderly writer. Louis Auchincloss, novelist and nonfiction writer of more than 50 books, died earlier this week after suffering a stroke. He was 92.

Auchincloss was famous for writing about the privileged lives of New York's upper crust.
