Fairchild Tropical Garden, Books & Books present Frances Mayes

Books & Books and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden kick off a new partnership at 6:30 p.m. April 1 with an evening with author Frances Mayes, who will talk about her new book, Every Day in Tuscany.

Mayes, you may remember, is the author of the bestselling Under the Tuscan Sun, which was made into a movie with Diane Lane. Chances are you are quite jealous of her because she has a gorgeous home in Tuscany and cooks fabulous Italian meals with fresh ingredients and writes wildly successful books. Or maybe that's just me.

Tuscany In any case, tickets to the event are $40 and will include entrance to the garden, a tram tour of the premises, reception with the author, talk/lecture in the Visitor Center and an autographed copy of Every Day in Tuscany, which you'll receive the night of the event. Tickets are available at any Books & Books location or at Fairchild, located at 10901 Old Cutler Road.

This event marks the launch of the Books & Books at Fairchild Garden Series, an ongoing seasonal partnership in collaboration with Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Miami-Dade County.
