New writing workshops at Florida Center for Literary Arts

Was your New Year's resolution to finally finish that novel or memoir that's been languishing on your hard drive? Or do you just want your blog to be a lot more interesting than this one? Get a bit of inspiration at the spring writing workshops at the Florida Center for the Literary Arts.

The schedule:

"Making the Scene with Nick Garnett": 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 7-March 28

"Explorations in Non Fiction with Tom Swick": 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 8-March 29

"Memoir 1: Mining Your Past with Jeannie DeQuine": 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 8-March 29

"A Blog With a Platform: Creative Writing for the New Media with Alex Perez":  6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 10-March 31.

All workshops cost $170, are non-credit and held at Miami Dade College's Wolfson campus, 300 NE Second Ave., Miami. To register or for more info on the classes, call 305-237-3359 or visit the website.
