Rober Parker's Spenser to live on

Parker Crime writer Robert Parker died last year, but his best-loved characters will live on.

The Associated Press reports that Parker's estate and his publisher Putnam announced that new novels featuring Parker's popular characters Spenser and Jesse Stone will be written, with Michael Brandman handling Jesse Stone duties and Ace Atkins tackling Spenser.

Parker's last Spenser novel, Sixhill, was completed before his death at 77 and is due out next month.
