ForeclosuresDaily.com is the fastest-growing private company in Florida

Turns out some people are still getting rich off real estate. According to Inc. magazine, the fastest-growing private company in the state is ForeclosuresDaily.com.

The Largo-based website, which saw 2007 revenue balloon 3,800 percent to $14.4 million, ranked 35th on this year's Inc. 500 Fastest-Growing Companies in the U.S. list.

"It's a shame that the fastest-growing company in Florida has to do with foreclosures," said Rafael Cruz, a business analyst with Florida Atlantic University's Small Business Development Center. "But there are opportunities there for some people."

Several South Florida companies also made the list. DesignerPlumbing Outlet.com, based in Palm Beach Gardens, reported a 2,200 percent jump in revenue, putting it 79th on the list. ReStockIt.com, a supplies wholesaler based in Hollywood, came in at 265th after revenues jumped 1,000 percent to $12.3 million.

Cruz said dot-coms were succeeding because they weren't limited by local markets. "They're selling to the whole country and the world," he said. "They're not bound by Florida."

Funny this article is dated only a month ago and now all of the researchers who have worked 50 -60 hours a week or more for the last year or 2 to keep up with the foreclosure market are now sitting with no jobs and no paychecks. No calls are answered or texts or emails. From anyone. My Mortgage payment is due tomorrow and I haven't been paid 1 penny for the work I have done for the entire month of September. I have been a researcher for 4 years for them. This is what I get. No warning, just an email yesterday stating that due to the slow economy and a problem with cash flow, they are not able to meet the payroll this month. Bet Mike Kane and Dave VanHoos have money in their account! Technically the doors are still open (although no one answers the phones). They are just asking that we keep working for now until they work out the kinks. Anyone looking for a highly qualified legal researcher with a background in the court system?
