Product Review: No love for the iConvert Slide and Negative Scanner

Iconvert_film_slide_scanner_2The iConvert Slide and Negative Scanner... it was a product I wanted to love. The idea of scanning 35mm film negatives into digital photos seemed neat. But the software... oh the software was so bad! Watch the video below to see what I mean, or check out the review on MiamiHerald.com.

It seems to me that you really don't have an understanding about this product & how to use it. I have it & use it always. It works just as it says in the instructions, which you obviously didn't read. You must have taken one minute to test this product.I compared it to my Epson 4490 photo scanner & & its comes out pretty close when using the automatic scan procedures. The "blue" you mention.....when initially view the slide on computer it is but when you acquire the picture it comes out normal. Bad reviewing !

Thanks for the comment Frank. I spent a few days tinkering with this and I stand by my review, but I'm glad to hear someone finds this junk product useful.

you are absolutely right about the software, it seems to be junk. It doesn't work on my computer at all, though I can scan with other software. The support from Arcsoft so far is non-existing!
I wish I'd read your review before!

Hi Bridget! Once again - your insights and great review has opened my eyes... I wanted to tell you that I love your hard work and that you are very helpful... I even recommend my friends to "Check it with Bridget" before they are making any purchase :)
