Product Review: Insignia digital camcorder is a pretty good deal

Insignia_camcorder_review Well it's another Tuesday, which means another tech review!

This time it's the Insignia 5-megapixel high definition digital camcorder (NS-DCC5HB09). I took it with me on a little boating trip the other weekend and found it to be pretty good.

But the internal memory sure didn't last long. After four really short videos and eight photos, it told me it didn't have the memory for any more video. It's supposed to hold 64 megabytes, but when I got back to my computer and counted up how much memory I used, the videos and photos were only about 33 megabytes. So you better bring along an SD card to expand your memory to avoid a problem like that.

Also, before you go taking it on vacation, you better pop the CD in your computer to read the digital instructions. Because the quick start guide booklet doesn't tell you how to access the menu. And it's not exactly intuitive to figure out how to get to the menu to delete something or change the settings.

But it just went on sale now at Best Buy for $127.49, and at that price it's pretty darn good. You can read the full print review here or just watch the video below:

I am a famous supa' star!

I love those part where you mention "sure, it's easy to take video" and in the little clip Jenny & I are waving. :D
