In case you missed it, here's last week's review of the T-Mobile Galaxy S 4G. This is a nice upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant, which T-Mobile started selling last summer. It's disappointing that video chatting and sending still isn’t totally smooth despite the 4G connection and front-facing camera. And the 4G boost doesn’t do much for downloading videos from the Samsung Media Hub, which requires a Wi-Fi connection (but you can watch videos on 4G using the subscription-required T-Mobile TV). Nonetheless, this is one of the best smartphones out there, and one any Android fan is sure to admire. [You can read the full print review here.]
Features: This Android 2.2-powered smartphone has a 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen and 1GHz processor. There’s a 720p high-definition camcorder and 5-megapixel camera on the back and a lesser-quality VGA camera on the front designed for video chatting. It can access T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ wireless network for faster data downloading and uploading. It can be a hot spot and share a Wi-Fi Internet connection with up to five other devices. Also has TV-out output option and comes loaded with the movie Inception and a 30-day trial of T-Mobile TV.
