This was definitely Hollywood's Year of the Vampire what with Twilight, True Blood and Spanish-language 
net SBS' Gabriel all sinking their fangs into the audience. But producers are nothing if not original, so don't expect 2009 to be another orgy of fangbanging. No, next year we've got something entirely different...werewolves.
Movie audiences will get to see not only the Twilight sequel New Moon but Benecio del Toro reprising Lon Chaney Jr.'s role in a remake of The Wolfman. And now the Hollywood Reporter says that Fox is working up a show about four female BFFs in Manhattan who like to get together for cosmos, howling at the moon and slashing throats. It's tentatively titled Bitches. And no, I didn't make that up.
