Nielsen Media Research says that more than 30.9 million viewers, scattered across 19 networks, watched Tuesday's live coverage of the Michael Jackson memorial service.
UPDATE: Nielsen has revised its figures slightly and now calculates there were 31.1 million viewers.

Thankfully, Food Network runs more interesting fare than MJ archive footage...I'd much rather watch Bobby Flay go head-to-head with another professional chef on "Iron Chef America" than see the umpteenth story about MJ's hair catching fire, sympathetic as I am to his plight. I say let Jacko rest in peace, so we can move on.
