Marie Osmond's losing a lot more than pounds

Marie Osmond looks pretty cute in those diet commercials, doesn't she? Well, treasure them, because her talk show is history, even before a single episode aired. The syndicated show, announced with a lot of fanfare last year after her successful run on Dancing With The Stars, was supposed to debut Sept. 14, pointedly without brother Donnie. But stations that had signed up to take the show have been steadily dropping out over the past few weeks because they were unable to sell it to advertisers. Whether this is a recession problem or a Marie Osmond problem is anybody's guess.
