Remember Bruce Kelly, the DJ whose thankless and doomed task it was to take over the slot at WMXJ in 2007 when Rick Shaw ended his 46 years in South Florida radio? Sacked by the station a year later when Shaw's fans refused to accept a new voice at the mike ("You have the personality of a dead worm!" one caller memorably shouted), Kelly has finally resurfaced as half the morning team on KMJO, an FM oldies station in Fargo, North Dakota. Never let it be said that North Dakotans don't have a sense of humor about living on a bleak, empty tundra in the middle of an icy nowhere. Says the station's on-line promo of Kelly: "He moved to [Fargo] from where?!?!?!?!?! In the MIDDLE OF WINTER?!?!?!?!?! Is he NUTS?!?!?!?!?!" Awwww, guys, he's okay. As dead worms go, anyway.
