Well, Dale's horse, Buttermilk, was also stuffed and on display for many years at the Double R Bar Museum in Victorville, California...so I don't know what she was complaining about. I believe Buttermilk will also be auctioned, but is not expected to bring the vast sums of the iconic Trigger. I believe Bullet is up for grabs, too. Apparently, there was a taxidermy boom in Victorville in the 60's.

How sad that the family had to auction off all these great pieces. Did the mudeum in Victorville go belly-up? It would have been great to have seen many of those items at LA's Museum of the West in Griffith Park.
