Screen Gems: TV the week of October 31

The Walking Dead (10 p.m. Sunday, AMC) -- A few beleaguered survivors of a zombie apocalypse struggle Walkingdead against long odds in this bloodily bewitching new series based on the comic books of the same name. Check back later Sunday for a full review.

A Family Thanksgiving (9 p.m. Saturday, Hallmark Channel) -- A kind of Thanksgiving version of It's A Wonderful Life, in which Daphne Zuniga plays the disillusioned George Bailey role and Faye Dunaway has the Clarence the probationary angel part. Is zombie season over already? Sigh.
