Young viewers may not be the superficial, self-obsessed, history-began-the-day-I-was-born twits that TV programmers think. Guess what the most popular show on Christmas Eve among the 18-to-49 age demo? It's A Wonderful Life, which at 64 years old wouldn't count for squat to Nielsen if it were a person instead of a movie. In fact, It's A Wonderful Life gave NBC its best Friday-night demo ratings in eight months. It didn't do half-bad in terms of total viewers, either, with 4.9 million of 'em. Way to go, George Bailey.
