When CBS fired Maggie Rodriquez and most of the rest of the on-air staff of The Early Show three weeks, network bosses said it was just a matter of ratings. They said they hoped Rodriguez would take another spot at CBS, perhaps on the Sunday Morning newscast or the documentary series 48 Hours.
Rodriguez, however, stayed mum about her plans. She still is, but I'm guessing the chances of her working on Sunday Morning or 48 Hoursare not good. Telemundo has announced that her husband Michael, who for the past several years has been working in New York as the network's vice president in charge of sales, is taking a different job: He's now in charge of Telemundo's multimedia development and distribution. That job is located in Miami, not New York, and Telemundo's press release says Michael's family is coming with him. That doesn't sound like Maggie is planning to keep working for CBS, at least not at the network level.

So I gave it a few months, but still do not like the new people. No chemistry, no spark. And the new weather girl...dry toast would be more entertaining. So long Early Show, let me know when you bring Harry, Maggie and Dave back

Until you bring back Maggie, Harry and Dave, I will be watching another channel. They were a group to wake up to.

I NO LONGER WATCH THE EARLY SHOW. HARRY, MAGGIE AND DAVE WERE THE REASONS I WATCHED. I FOLLOWED MAGGIE AS SHE WAS THE CBS ANCHOR IN MIAMI. I AM NOW BACK TO THE TODAY SHOW AS I WATCHED IT BEFORE MAGGIE CAME TO THE EARLY SHOW. CBS WHAT A MISTAKE. HARRY WAS ALWAYS A FAVORITE OF MINE ALSO, AND I LIKED DAVE. HE WAS ENTERTAINING.

Wow what a really really big mistake CBS made replacing the best early morning team on tv......it is now boring with none of the pizazz of years gone by........I believe CBS will pay dearly for making such a poor decision!!!!!!!!

CBS has sunk to the classless level of NBC without Harry Smith. Dave was great & Maggie professional. Haven't watched cbs since.

I totaly enjoyed the CBS morning news line up. Maggie was most top notch in her interviews, simple and to the point. Just Get Her Done. I really looked forward to their show everyday, now that I am retired. The new crew just fullfills the new concept "Its all about me."

I miss Harry and Dave. I quit watching the show because Maggie was so radical and required so much attention placed on her. I was hoping they'd dump her but was surprised about Harry and Dave.

In 2010 I woke up with Maggie and Harry and LIKED it -- then I had to switch to Meredith Vieira on the Today Show in 2011. Now, she is gone, too. I guess no more morning TV for me! I liked GMA when Diane Sawyer was on but alas gone . . . . .

I am still shocked (6 months later) that CBS would fire H M & D. The show sucks now! I feel like my "family" is gone. When 7 am rolls around, I switch to other networks for my morning fix!
No going back either! I'd rather watch cartoons then watch a network with poor management. CYA CBS

Sean Mimanus your a fool. You should be fired. You keep some girl that needs to get a tan and some talent. Maggie did an a awesome job at the CBS
morning show. And the evening news. Katie over rated. Erica let's be real. I can find more talent in in Manhattan Kanas. Maggie have the ratings gone up yet? NO. Enough said.

I have given the new morning show lineup time but Chris wragge is mechanical in his news delivery and you don't have a meteorologist delivering weather there is no chemistry between this staff low ratings will continue who put this team together
Harry smith please return

They should have kept Maggie with Erica Hill and Dave. Harry is too good for the morning show. He should have replaced Katie when Katie left. Julie Chen doesn't do anything but she'll never lose her job, since she's married to the top man.

I will miss Harry, Maggie and Dave very much! Onto another
network!! How is it that Julie Chen got a nice job on the "View"?

I agree with most of the comments on here. I was shocked to hear that CBS was replacing Harry, Maggie and Dave. What was CBS thinking! They were the reason I switched from GMA, it was the perfect transition from my local news. Erica is pompous and I can't stand it when she interrupts and always says....Thaaanks...bad move CBS. Back to GMA for me.

I love Maggie, her cheer, charm and professionalism.CBS would not recognize a good thing if it bit them, witness the Early News and evening news replacements!

Not only do I now watch another channel in the mornings, I find myself doing the same thing in the evenings. BIG mistake CBS.
