Cowboy, one of my stepdogs - graduate of M-D Co. Animal Services, perhaps yellow Lab/Rottie mix - ran around the yard like a lunatic from mid-afternoon when the neighborhood kids started setting off firecrackers until after midnight, when they finally stopped, barking heavenward as if he could catch and chew them up. The rest of the pack more or less took it in stride, but I'm really glad this happens only twice a year (New Year's being the other event).
