Look at these babies! These kittens were rescued Sept. 19 after they were dumped at a vacant former home for retired nuns. by my colleague Heidi - mother of the fabulous collies, Foxy and Farrah. She scooped them up and delivered them to intrepid Herald cat rescuer Pam (having fed them a tasty meal of Jenny Craig premixed tuna).
Per Pam: ""
The kittens are about 3 weeks old, named for saints: Thomas, Francis, Mary Magdalene and Teresa, 2 boys and 2 girls. Thomas is orange with white paws; Francis, white with orange spots; Mary Magdalene is white with black spots; and Teresa is calico. They are barely eating -- a couple still want to suck, so we're bottle-feeding a bit -- and mostly using the litter box. They're sweet little things, relieved to be safe, sleeping a lot. They seem healthy although they're dirty and need baths! I've flea-treated them but that's all so far. They'll get the full spa treatment this weekend when they're a little stronger.''
AND they'll be ready for adoption in a month or so. E-mail me at pets@miamiherald.com if you're interested.
