M-D County's Shelter Celerbated 3rd Anniversary With an Adoption Fair

Kitten09_shelter_dns_abf Click here for a story about how some lucky critters found new families at the third anniversary of Miami-Dade County Animal Services becoming a free-standing department. My congrats to Dr. Sara Pizano, the director, whom I respect tremendously, and the rest of the staff for doing such a difficult job as humanely as it's possible to do it. Adoptions are at record levels and conditions are a zillion times better than before the department was allowed to stand on its own.
