Doxiefest on Saturday -- big fun!

Helloooooo Dachshunds!
Saturday (January 24) is the big day.  Tell your human that the South Beach Dachshund Winterfest only lasts from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm so don't miss it!   Also tell your human that the Miami Herald says it's between 8th/9th but it is actually between 11th/12th Streets of Ocean Drive.  All the correct info is at http://http://www.dachshundwinterfest.com/
In addition to our regular decadent dachshund fun, be prepared for....
1.  The World's Longest Dachshund Photo!  We'll be asking dogs and humans to line up on the serpentine coral rock wall for a record-breaking, over-sized, over-long photograph by Federico Serrano -- it's being considered for Ripley's Believe It Or Not!  (Videographers out there may want to try to capture 300+ dachshunds lined up and smiling...)
2.  First Official Winterfest T-Shirts!  The first EVER South Beach Winterfest T-shirts will be available for a $10 donation at the Dachshund Rescue of South Florida table.  A collector's item for sure, you can view Marian Del Vecchio's wonderful dachshund art which is also on the cover of this year's program (attached).
3.  Winterfest Program Is Attached.  Attached to this email is a PDF file of the program.  It's TWO double pages - print it out in advance so you don't have to find us at the 'fest!
4.  Donate Flea/Tick & Heartworm Treatments.  Before you head out the door on Saturday, grab an extra flea/tick or heartworm treatment (Advantix, Heartguard, Frontline, Interceptor, etc.) to donate to rescued dachshunds. Drop off at Dachshund Rescue of South Florida table and THANKS.
As always, the Dachshund Winterfest is free and open to all. (Dachshund Wanna Be's will be made Honorary Dachshunds for the day.)  See you soon, little schnitzels!
