More Gloomy Economic News for Pets and Pet-related Businesses

Sunday, the Herald's Business section took an extensive look at the impact of foreclosures and the depressed economy on pets (and the businesses that supply them). I've also read a couple stories on people leaving pets behind in an abandoned home. Some have actually starved to death. It is a very, very cruel thing to do.

The Industry assoc for pets indicate that an upward trend for pet product sales is a fact. Super pet stores such as PetSmart have seen an upward steadily increase in supply sales, etc.
