Well, here I am, 12 year old Duke! I
can't remember life before the shelter as I have been here a good 10 years.
Without much to do and without a family to love me or be loved by me, I get
quite lonely and oh, so bored. I do look forward to the times when one of my
friends shows up and takes me for a slow, leisurely walk. I love my walks and I
love to be stroked and cared for by the volunteers. But they have to share their
time with all of the other residents, so most of the time I am by myself. I am
quite shy and reserved , but I long to have company, like any other doggie. I am
no trouble at all and housebroken. I weigh about 50 lbs and aside from my gray
muzzle, I have soft, silky fur. For my age, I look pretty good and I am healthy.
I still have quite a few golden years to live and I would love to experience a
real home with a family to keep me company. If you think that you could love me
enough to bring me home with you, call Kathy @ 305-401-4693 or email her at
klcremer@aol.com . She promised me that I won't have to live my whole life here, but I am
starting to lose hope.
