NEW HOURS FOR ANIMAL
SERVICES
CUSTOMER SERVICE EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 30TH,
2009
(MIAMI, November 4th, 2009) Effective Monday, November 30th, 2009, the
Miami-Dade Animal Services Customer Service hours of operation will be Monday to
Friday 10 am to 7 pm. Weekend hours will not be affected and will remain 8 am
to 5 pm.
The
Citation Office for inquiries/resolution of violations will be 10 am to 7 pm,
Monday through Friday and closed on the weekends. For citation payments only,
customer service staff will assist on weekends from 8 am to 5
pm.
Adoption, lost & found, and rabies & microchip
clinic hours have not changed.

Pet
overpopulation is something we can control, but we need the community to make a
difference. Be part of the solution spay/neuter your pets, don't be part of the
problem.
Miami-Dade
Animal Services is responsible for enforcing Chapter V, as well as Florida
Statutes 828, which deals primarily with animal cruelty issues. Unlike private
shelters that have limitations on the number of pets they accept, Animal
Services accepts all dogs and cats. Last year, the shelter impounded more than
37,000 pets. The goal at Animal Services is to reunite lost pets with their
families or find life-long homes for as many animals as possible.
