Adorable Puppy Found; Needs a Home

What a doll baby! Her name is Boo, for the moment, found Wednesday on Miami Beach. So far no one has claimed her.  She has already been to the vet and has all of her shots and clean bill of health.  She about 5 months old and loves everyone including cats and other dogs.  She is in a very temporary foster home so need a permanent home or foster for her by the end of the week.  She is smart and well behaved.  Please help little Boo! Help Dying People Keep Their Pets

"One of the most difficult parts of dying is saying goodbye to those you love most. Many hospice patients must part with their beloved pets because they have no one to help with pet care and expenses.  Some pets are left homeless when the patient dies.  Banfield Charitable Trust’s hospice patient/pet support program, Pet Peace of Mind, provides non-profit hospices with resources and funding to help hospice patients care for their pets. Three Senior K9 Citizens Need a New Home

These situations are heartbreaking. They lost their mom.

They are available individually or as a pack.  Their owner is unable to live alone anymore and must move to a setting where she can no longer have four dogs.  They have adjusted to their new situation unbelievably well and all look forward to getting settled for the long term in a new home where they can be loved and cared for.

 Pilar is female, neutered, approximately 60 pounds, over ten years old, and has a wise face with a sweet, mellow disposition.  She is the grey dog, part sheep dog (?) mix.  While she is definitely mature in age, she gets around fine and is a very social dog and responds lovingly to anyone who pets and scratches her. 

Maddie is the male German Shepherd mix, neutered, about six years old, approximately 60 pounds and is very shy and timid until he really knows you.  He would do best in an adult family, without kids running around.  He needs someone who will spend time with him helping him feel secure in a new setting, but he is more outgoing every day now. 

 Winnie is the small female, spayed, black and tan rat terrier.  She is somewhere between 5-10 years of age.  She has a proud disposition and is easily won over with treats.   She loves to sit on your lap and enjoy human conversation.

Pet Care Fair Coming Up

WALMART AND THE ASPCA® INVITE MIAMI RESIDENTS TO EXPERIENCE THE FIRST-EVER PET CARE FAIR 
All Proceeds From the Event will Benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami and Miami-Dade Animal Services 

To celebrate the culmination of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, Miami area residents and visitors are invited to attend The Pet Care Fair supported by Walmart to benefit the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Humane Society of Greater Miami and Miami-Dade Animal Services on May 1.  The pet-friendly, family event will take place Saturday, May 1, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Bayfront Park, located at 301 North Biscayne Boulevard.

The Pet Care Fair also includes a 1-mile Fun Walk for dogs and their owners beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Bayfront Park.  Pre-registration for the public is available online for $15 at http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1851441, or on-site for $20, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on May 1. All proceeds benefit the ASPCA, Humane Society of Greater Miami and Miami-Dade Animal Services. Walk participants will receive an ASPCA bandana and goody bag complete with product samples and coupons from pet care sponsors. 

Why:

The Pet Care Fair, supported by Walmart to benefit the ASPCA, is designed to educate current and potential pet owners on the importance of overall health and wellness of their pets. The Fair also will connect individuals to the broad assortment of pet-related products at great prices via Walmart.

First-Ever Pet Care Fair 

Miami residents and visitors are invited to attend The Pet Care Fair supported by Walmart to benefit the ASPCA. The pet-friendly, family event will offer entertaining and educational activities for all, including free pet care seminars and consultations, grooming demonstrations and pet care product coupons and samples from the makers of Fresh Step, Iams, Pedigee and many more. Local shelters will be on hand with dogs and cats in need of a loving home. A 1-Mile Fun Walk for dogs and their owners also will take place beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Bayfront Park.
