Somehow, some way, Honey - couple of posts below - showed up in the middle of the night scratching at the door of the home where she was staying while her "parents'' were on vacation. If someone had a pang of conscience and did the right thing, bravo.

Pair of shepherds desperately need a real home
Why hasn't anybody come to look at us? We have been in a kennel since Oct. 31 st. We remember it well. Our old owners put us in the family truck and we thought we were going somewhere special, but the next thing we knew we were dumped out of the truck into a parking lot. We didn't move, we just thought that they were coming back for us and we wanted to make sure they could find us. But they never did. The people that worked in the office building were going to take us to animal control. Lucky for us there was one person that worked there that thought we were so sweet and loveable and she rescued us. We have been in a kennel ever since. They people here are nice and keep us safe, but we are really going out of our minds in the kennel most of the time. We would love to live with a family and be able to run around outdoors and play. We we would love to stay together, for we are 2 peas in a pod. We are a mommy 4yo and a son almost 2yo.
Please call Max 954 663 1560, if you cannot adopt us, please come & walk us, we need the exercise, love & attention. Thank you so much!

Little Boy Poodle Found - North Bay Village
Found this little guy running in the street last night (12/27), in front of the 360 Condos complex, off of 79th Street Causeway. He was wearing a black collar WITHOUT TAGS. Appears to be a poodle or poodle mix, white, male, around 10 pounds.
Since we have other animals in our house, we did not want to take the chance that he might get the others sick. So we brought him to the vet this morning (12/28) to bring him up to date on his shots and test for worms, etc. Total cost was $91.
He's a sweet little boy and we hope to get him back to his family soon!

Please Help Find Honey
She went missing from a yard in Southwest Miami-Dade Xmas night, and her humans are beyond heartbroken and hysterical. They're also stuck in New England, unable to fly out. I personally know Honey. and she is as sweet as they come - about 40 lbs. If you know where she is, call me, Ellie Brecher, at 305-376-3631, or email me at pets@miamihearld.com, or call Justin Miranda, 774-263-3512. A grateful reward for whoever finds her.

Give, and it will be matched
Best Friends Animal Society has kicked off the holidays with their largest donation match ever. Thanks to the generosity of a group of donors, every donation made to Best Friends will be matched up to 2 million dollars, that’s a grand total of $4 million. For every dollar received, the donors have pledged to donate a second dollar to help Best Friends provide safe homes for animals across the country.
Donations made to Best Friends will help support hundreds of volunteers across the country who help care for community cats to keep them out of shelters. It will be used to rescue dogs from puppy mills and find them safe, secure, loving families. The money will be used to help families keep their pets at home with them and will help provide resources needed to care for all the animals at the Best Friends no-kill sanctuary. Additionally, donations from the Holiday Match will help to:
- fix dogs and cats to prevent unwanted litters
- microchip cats and dogs with permanent ID to help them find their families if lost
- place homeless dogs and cats in forever homes
- provide bottle feeding and care to orphaned puppies and kittens
To help Best Friends meet the match and build a world with No More Homeless Pets, visit www.bestfriends.org/holidaymatch , call 435-644-2001 ext. 4801 or text MATCH to 90999 to donate $10.
