Froma a reader who's seeking advice:
We adore our pet pug. The only problem is he smells horribly. I have changed his diet from beef to vegetarian to lamb & rice. He gets bathed every two weeks and gets his anal glands cleaned too. I have his hair trimmed monthly. He is 6y rs old and not neutered.
I have changed vets twice. The latter complained of his pungent smell. She tested his skin, hair and placed him on antibiotics for a month. It seemed that his smell subsided during that time. We have to keep him outside in our covered patio during the day and bring him in to sleep at night. Please advice on this matter. We are desperate.
