You know how we love a good gator story here on the blog.
And when gator's and crime mix...even better.
Last month, three deputies in Central Florida were called to an apartment parking lot where an 8-foot gator was on the prowl.
One of the deputies may have seen a little too much alligator wrestling - he apparently threw a towel on the gator, jumped on its back and tried to go up against it.
That's when the gator bit Deputy Keith Baughman.
A second deputy, Jason Stickles, shot the alligator.
The alligator survived, until a trapper came and killed it.
The three deputies have been reprimanded for not following policy.
