Coldcase closed: Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Ingmar Guandique in the death of Chandra Levy.
Guandique, 27, is an inmate in Calif. He is an undocumented migrant from El Salvador.
There is a conflict about mentioning his immigration status. And whether it is relevant to note this fact when reporting this crime.
I say any information regarding the suspect is relevant. But even more important would be if he has a criminal history in his country of origin. I would not be surprised to find out he may have killed and raped women in El Salvador.
I will leave the insensitivities about stereotyping undocumented migrants to Bill O'Reilly. I bet he will not hesitate to bring out his large "Illegal aliens to be feared" sign during his show.

Whats the evidence? Good Target--always the undocumented migrant. Anything to close the case & satisfy family members. Since when was Gary no longer a suspect?? I hope he really is guilty, especially if he's going to serve time.

An illegal alien is already breaking the law, so yes, this is a relevant matter in that IF we enforced the law when someone entered this country illegally then they would not be here to committ another crime!

Can someone please tell me when did illegal alien become laborer?

I am not surprised that it is an illegal immigrant. Undocumented migrants break the law by crossing the border, obtain and use false documents, assume false identities, defraud employers and the government, and access and use services they are not entitled to. Many are desperate and desperate people often don't hesitate to commit crimes. When there is no respect for the law anything can happen.

Hey Andrea Torres, why did you identify the suspect as a laborer and not El Salvadorian or undocumented worker or undocumented criminal or illegal alien or inmate or so many other more appropriate names? You offend all laborers, but at least your politically correct.

I agree with the most recent two posts - the news outfits that identify this man as a "laborer" or an an "undocument migrant" are a disgrace.
Hey Andrea, what does Bill-O have to do with this story?
No, immigrants are not to be feared. CRIMINALS are to be feared and repudiated; and being in this country illegally makes one just that.
I suppose you would counter with the typical "he's only here for a better life". Well, he apparently enjoyed attacking anglo females in parks, even killing one. Are their lives better, Andrea?

Noticed I got bumped so I'll re-post

I'm not sure how the immigration status of this criminal isn't 100% relevant here. It simply begs the question, if we actually knew who was coming across our borders, we would be able to keep guys like this out. With the open door policy that the author promotes...we get all...the good, the bad and the ugly.
As for Torres's O'Reilly comment - no suprise here - this is very typical. Maybe she should watch the show sometime to get the facts straight. O'Reilly routinely says that he does not blame illegals for coming across - in fact he says he would do the same thing if he were in the same position.
He considers them victims that are used by the right for cheap labor and by the left for votes.
