Ari Weinstein, 15, claims he only does "hacking that helps people." And he is doing so with iJailbreak, free software that allows iPhone users to install applications unapproved by Apple.
"Apple doesn't have the right to tell me what I can put on my phone," Ari told the Wallstreet Journal.
In February, Apple filed a 27-page statement to the U.S. Copyright office arguing that modifying phones violates the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The company also claims the modifications violate the warranty. Here is the story.
