A rapist found the perfect setting for his crime in Brickell on Sunday morning.

Brickell is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Miami, and with that growth comes crime.

In a few years, developers have turned the exclusive area that surrounded South Florida's financial district into a dense high residential neighborhood with a busy nightlife.

Realtors hoping to rent or sell the thousands of units (About 50 percent of Miami-Dade County's inventory) that still remain vacant brag about places like Blue Martini.

At Blue Martini, a popular happy hour spot at Mary Brickell Village, drinks are half off from 4 to 8 p.m, and on Ladies Night women get a complimentary 3 olives cocktail on the house.

It is a convenient bar for residents at the Axis condominium, a 40 story building, only a few blocks away from Mary Brickell Village, where one can also find a Starbucks and a Bally Total Fitness.

The rapist followed a woman from Blue Martini to her apartment at the Axis, walked into the elevator with her, and pushed his way in as she opened the door. He raped her in her room, police said.

Detectives are hoping you can identify the man in the photo below after watching this surveillance video. He appears to be losing some of his hair.

"Whenever you have a video, you're not only seeing an image but you're seeing how the person walks, how the person carries himself. And a lot of times, that in itself, a person can be identified," said  Willie Moreno, a Miami detective. Watch the video.
