$31,000 gold ring stolen from Sawgrass Mills store

From the Sun Sentinel:

Sunrise police say the flashy thief stole a 2.95-carat white gold diamond ring valued at $31,499 from a Swagrass Mills mall jewelry store.

At about 6 p.m. March 11, the man, wearing a bright red long-sleeved shirt emblazoned with what appeared to be an image of a classical painting and two strands of gold links, posed as a customer. He inquired about several diamond rings at CR Jewelers and was handed the 2.95-carat piece. He glanced at the ring, then darted out of the store.
