Toddlers found drowning in Sunrise community pool

Two toddlers were found drowning in a Sunrise community pool on Thursday morning.

"They were found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest," said Sunrise Fire-Rescue chief Todd Draizin.

Sunrise police and paramedics performed CPR at the pool, 3551 NW 85th Way, and on the way to Plantation General Hospital.

The twins, a boy and a girl, are believed to be 2 years old, according to Miami Herald news partner CBS 4.

It is unclear if they were unattended.

"The investigation is ongoing," said Sunrise police spokeswoman Cindi McCue.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
