Man rescues elderly grandmother from house fire in NW Miami-Dade

A South Florida man risked his life to save his elderly grandmother after her home erupted in flames, Saturday night.

Fire officials said the home of 80-year-old Martha Mathis, on the 3100 block of Northwest 60th Street in Northwest Miami-Dade, had caught on fire while she was home alone.
