Heat, then rain.
That about sums up what South Florida can expect Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast calls for storms after 2 p.m., and a 40 percent chance of rain into the evening. High temperatures will hover around 90.
"The big story today will be the heat," said CBS4 meteorologist Michael Smith.
But here's some good news: After the rain clears, overnight temperatures will drop to the upper-60s, pacing the way for a seasonal rest of the week.
Wednesday calls for highs in the mid- to upper-70s during the day, with a breeze, and the mid- to upper-60s at night.
