Tri-Rail service back on track after pedestrian struck

An early morning accident involving a northbound Tri-rail train caused excessive delays, according to Tri-Rail's  website.
According to early reports, pedestrian was struck and killed on the tracks. The incident happened just north of the Golden Glades station near Ives Dairy Road. 
At the scene, a Tri-Rail train was halted on the tracks. Investigators were scouring for clues and a body was covered with a yellow tarp.
A Miami-Dade police spokesman said "it's too soon" to determine whether the case is a suicide.
Commuters were bused between the Fort Lauderdale Airport and Golden Glades stations.
Amtrak was is being affected.
Tri-Rail traffic resumed around 11:30 a.m., but there are still some delays.
