Even if it's me and Harricane, I figured this is a chance to exchange ideas and spend some time with my peeps.
So the live blog starts at 8 p.m.
Tune in to NFL Network and let's watch the Dolphins vs. Jets from Nov. 27, 1994.
Yeah, that was the clock game. See you in the comments section.

I will give Michael Stewart for suporting on the run. he did do that.

McGuire use to kill me announcing Bills games. About as lopsided as Namath when he did Jet games.
Posted by: Carolina Fin | June 02, 2008 at 09:22 PM
Very true gentleman...now, if we're lucky enough to have a lead late, it's like, how are we going blow it this time?
Posted by: Mike in Houston | June 02, 2008 at 09:23 PM
Um, harricane, I don' know if you saw my post on what the dolphins new offensive philosophy is going to be, but it's not high-flying by any means. They are going to run, run and bully people.
It's good for protecting the quarterback and shortening the game and beating up smaller defenses. But if they get behind, good night.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | June 02, 2008 at 09:24 PM
Hey, Carolina, what about Marv Albert doing Jets games. I mean, give me a New York break.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | June 02, 2008 at 09:25 PM
mando, i fully support hurricane type smashmouth football. i prefer dolphin football with csonka / dwight and co. run all ya can pass when they don't expect it.
Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:26 PM
I went to Ohio State, I don't know about his fammily but Ginn can score anytime he gets the ball. If the sophmores get some time they will hook up.
Posted by: Kurt In Tampa | June 02, 2008 at 09:27 PM
Goodness gracious, Boomer is just carving this defense up. I didn't remember it being this bad. Of course, that would mean the comeback was that great.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | June 02, 2008 at 09:27 PM
warfield and griese got a play from president nixon on a pass play that they used! to win a SB
Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:28 PM
think balance
Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:29 PM
Mando, I remember Namath announcing a game where Miami was beating them like a drum and you could tell Namath was aggravated by it. So the best play the Jets had was a long punt and he sat there and bragged about it for 5 mins. I just turned down the TV and tried to find it on the radio.
Albert was bad too...Dan Diedorf will wear you down also.

Kurt, I agree Ginn will be pretty good. He has this rep as being a smallish receiver. I'm telling you, I've stood next to the guy and he's not small. He's thin, but not small. And we all know he's fast on space.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | June 02, 2008 at 09:30 PM
there will plenty of opps to pass if ya CAN run... ricky and ronnie are back baby
Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:30 PM

Todd, when people curse, I take out the message. When people come here to plug the Sun-Sentinel, I delete the comments. When people are otherwise offensive, I erase the comments.

what a catch!
Posted by: Carolina Fin | June 02, 2008 at 09:35 PM
I don't know who is going to be throwing the ball this year, but I kind of remember some flashes from Beck in the preseason of someone who doesn't quit, he even seemed lucky, which i felt we needed. Of course he didn't turn out to be all that lucky...
Posted by: Kurt In Tampa | June 02, 2008 at 09:35 PM
Holy crap Ingram...way to finish the play...stellar game

Posted by: Carolina Fin | June 02, 2008 at 09:47 PM
Turnover. Turnover. Turnover. I knew it. And yes, my man Troy Vincent. What a great, great player.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | June 02, 2008 at 09:47 PM
I remeber when Cox seemed like he was good for 30-45 yards of personal fouls at the end of game. Way to go Troy! Is he still playing?
Posted by: Kurt In Tampa | June 02, 2008 at 09:48 PM
Yes sir. I was very sad to see Vincent leave us...I remember him being a great tackler for a corner
Posted by: Mike in Houston | June 02, 2008 at 09:49 PM
great play...troy and working short....
Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:49 PM
Troy Vincent would ask me after every practice his rookie year, "How am I doing?" He asked me the same thing, I think, in Germany when the fins played there in the preseason. Finally, I told him, 'Troy, you're the first round pick. You're doing fine. And I'm just a sportswriter. Relax. You will be fine."
Posted by: Armando Salguero | June 02, 2008 at 09:49 PM
what a quick mind?
Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:50 PM
Troy retired before last season.

Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:52 PM
Bert Weidner shaken up. True story: Marino would have the team Christmas party at his house. As a rookie, Weidner got buzzed and threw up on the floor.
Welcome to the NFL Bert.

Mando, covering Dan, was he as great a person as he was a player?
Posted by: Carolina Fin | June 02, 2008 at 09:52 PM
Its good to see Jason wearing a Dolphin insignia, even if it is a commercial
Posted by: Kurt In Tampa | June 02, 2008 at 09:53 PM
awesome timing.....
Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:53 PM
Wow. How's that for insightful commentary?
Posted by: Armando Salguero | June 02, 2008 at 09:54 PM
now do u know why we love the fins?
Posted by: harricane | June 02, 2008 at 09:55 PM
No wonder us Fin Fans can't forget Dan and compare all QBs that come to the fins to him.
Posted by: Carolina Fin | June 02, 2008 at 09:55 PM
Makes me wanna cry...its almost painful to watch...lol
Posted by: Carolina Fin | June 02, 2008 at 09:56 PM
Carolina, he was fine as a person. But he was nicer earlier in his career. I remember interviewing him as a pup reporter while he had lunch at the team cafeteria.
Later he got a little aloof.
But he's great now. I was on the same flight to Phoenix as him for the Super Bowl this year and he was wonderful. Very nice to my wife. We shared DVDs. Great.
