Changes coming to Miami Dolphins lineup

The Dolphins are back at work as they prepare for the Arizona Cardinals and there are changes afoot in the lineup.

Seems second-year man Ikechuku Ndukwe is the choice to replace injured Donald Thomas at the starting right guard position. Thomas, you will recall, is out of the season with some unidentified foot injury.

Also today, Ronnie Brown is getting work in practice ahead of Ricky Williams at the running back spot. While this does not guarantee a change at the starting RB spot, it is a departure from the past couple of weeks when Williams was getting most of the first-team work.

I am also told the team is trying to find a place for Ernest Wilford to be active for Sunday's game but a final decision on that has not yet been made. Seems if this happens, Derek Hagan may be inactive -- but again, that is not decided yet one way or the other.

I bet if we still had Chambers and Welker, Ginn would be lighting it up. But then we wouldn't have Satele or Henne. That's why its called rebuilding. I still think with the AFC its wide open but I'm not going to mortgage the house that we are going to make too much noise. Watch and enjoy the rookies, Long and Langford, hell as much as it sucked to lose last weekend, we were one play away. I'm as sick as anyone of losing but wherever I go wearing my Dolphin gear, I am constantly getting stopped, not ridiculed, and someone will say you guys will be sick soon, you're on the verge.

Good job Armando on the radio show, I enjoyed it. Laughed my ass off when you said if Ginn found God and Zaz said he would be happy if Ginn just found the ball. However, whats with all the jabs at Camarillo? The guy was the only WR to have a solid game, and catches everything thrown to him which is a problem with our other WR's. Plus we didn't waste a first round draft pick on the guy. I think you just like saying his name. Camarillo!

BTW I wanted some of what that caller Tito was on.

Corona I hope your right, but I think the fins lose this week to Arizona. I think Whisenhunt has that team poised to win the West.

I think Warner throws for 350 and lights us up this week.

Armando, are there certain phrases that we can have permantly banned on this blog? Such as:
mentioning anyone from the Ginn family except for Teddy Jr., labeling ANYONE a bust before three years experience, any mention of Ricky going to let us down to smoke out, brady quinn, any mention of 9/11 as a conspiracy (God bless America), any knock on any political party... jk, Armando, irony says you delete this one.

"Also Fasano is 6'4 and has the size to make those possesion catches and as we watched last weekend he didn't drop any balls!!! The down side to Fasano is he can't block!"
J Dizzle, Fasano is a very good blocking tight end. In fact that's what he's known for not catching the ball. With that said, he did have a very good game and hope he continues to otherwise we will be running a whole lot.

Isn't anyone else confused about the dropping of Maui? How well could we have run if we still had him? So he doesn't have hands... don't throw to him, you have two big backs that can double as an FB if you really want to throw to a fullback.

JP, how many young inexperienced QBs does one team need? Who would you draft?

Tin,

Our DB coach isthe AHC.

Damn, it's been four days and Sunday still stings.

A lot has been said about our WRs and yeah we could use help. But what gets me is our secondary is (a) not going for the ball or (b) so far out of position that (a) is not a factor.

MikeinCT -- I don't think the new regime likes Ricky better than Ronnie. I think they (wisely) want to bring Ronnie along slowly -- more for mental purposes than physical purposes. When they see that he is mentally sound with his running, I think he'll see more playing time than Ricky. Ricky is a beast, no doubt. But Ronnie is JUST AS deadly as a runner; but he's got the best hands on the team. Too valuable to let sit on the bench.

I cannot understand why Miami's running backs and W.R. are catching flack from the media. Let's get the facts straight! When there is eight men in the box and your Q.B. cannot throw more than thirty yards it's kinda hard to flurish in the NFL! I like Chad Pennington but, let's face it he cannot make all the throws a NFL Q.B. needs to make. Henne should start at least defenses will have to respect the deep ball plus, he is the future and we are "Rebuilding" so, why not let him sink or swim!!!

"Posted by Ken"

You cannot understand? Hmm, lets see, we ran for under 50 yards, our receivers caught nothing, Ricky looked like he was on autopilot when he ran, and it was against a standard seven, not a stacked 8. Perhaps getting YOUR facts straight would help your understanding.

Penny can throw more then 30 yards, but whats the point when your receivers cannot get off of bumps, cannot get into the middle of the field, or fight the safety or DB off to catch the ball. I presume you would rather have Penny throwing 30 yards INTs to satisfy your need for a real NFL QB.

Poor Parcells and Sparano that they have gotten so out of touch that they can no longer pick a QB. You should be a talent evaluator for them.

"Hey Coach"
"Yeah Ken"
"Lets sit the experience QB that we hired to play this year, so we can ruin our brand new rookie behind an inexperienced line, throwing to Goober receivers, whataya think?"
"Sounds good Ken, I wansn't really liking my job here in Miami anyways, to many beautiful woman to stare at"

Get real.

The only thing that makes sense in your argument is the eight men in your box comment, or was it eight in the box?

Something like that.

Regarding Ginn not getting open. I am not sure if any of you were paying attention the whole game but, there were at least 4 plays that I saw where Ginn was down feild with noone within 15 yards of him and Chad didn't throw the ball. I would say that 10 - 15 yard seperation should be enough. I think Chad has a problem throwing the deep ball so didn't even try.

bring back wes welker,he was our best receiver.

I agree with you totally Rockphin until your last sentence.

Ginn had 10+ yds.cushion at the LOS on several plays NOT including the immediate seperation he gained on EVERY slant route he ran but Penne didnt audible to a quick pass and you have to do that whether you think you're being baited or whatever the reasoning for not doing it may be.

I think that this team has talked themselves into a "Teams dont respect our passing game so we have to run the ball!" mentality EVEN WHEN they stack the line or are already inching towards the line before the snap and I DONT understand it.

The play action pass in the first two series alone would've went for TD's over the middle because the middle of the field was WIDE OPEN at the snap because the LB's,ALL OF THEM,walked straight to the LOS w/o hesitation pre snap but the "We have to run it down their throats because our WR's are inexperienced and/or suck!" mentality would hand it off for a 2 or 3 yd. gain or a no gain and then they would play action on 3rd and FKNG 6 or 7...like ur going to run a FKNG draw needing 6 yds. when you couldnt get 6 in the two prior downs combined.

I dont know if Penne is thinking "The Coaches know best and I don't want to go against their calls so I'll do whatever they say do." or "If I call an audible and it doesnt work they'll bench me." or what,BUT when Ginn has a 10-15 yd. cushion at the LOS he needs to give him the damn ball.

We need a legitimate N.1 receiver, Boldin is the perfect fit but we're gonna give much more than a 2nd rounder + conditonal pick.....last year we traded chambers (30 years old) for a second rounder boldin is worth a 1st.

The Miami Dolphins , as a professional team of NFL, is one of the major teams that have fans all around the world. It’s quite normal if Miami Dolphins are so pricy because such worth any price. It doesn’t matter if we pay a respected amount of money for Dolphins tickets because we satisfy our eagerness to watch good games and more than that, when we get Miami Dolphins ticket , It’s because we love this team.
