The Dolphins turned the second quarter into their own in the span of about 15 seconds today.
After Chad Pennington connected with Ted Ginn Jr. on a 27 yard pass for a score, Phillip Merling intercepted a pass and returned it for a TD. It was indeed 14 points in 15 seconds.
The Jets, seemingly out of the playoffs no matter what they do today, are fighting. They have a TD pass to Laveranues Coles and a FG by Jay Feely.
The second half will determine whether Miami wins the AFC East. Or not. Join me in the comments section for the continuation of the live blog.

Mondo,
what are our 1/2 time adjustments on offense and defense?
Posted by: Mike W | December 28, 2008 at 05:50 PM
Armando, do you agree with me that the prevent defense is the worst kind of defense to use in crunch time like that? Sure it prevents a huge pass but it is so easy to get up the field.

Michael leave hayden Be! He is one of the most insightful people on this blog!

We need a nice long drive one the first possession with points at the end. Stating the obvious but Favre is getting in a groove,so we need to do the same. This will come down to a few plays at the end of the fourth quarter cause these fins are the cardiac kids. Chad will come up big in the end.

Mondo
Is Pace winning the battle against Long? Is that why they dont run on the left side
Posted by: Mike W | December 28, 2008 at 05:55 PM
Well I think we will not have so many penalties in the second half and I think that they will catch the ball better during the wildcat/wide open passes...i also think we will preasure farve more and joey will get a sack or 2
Posted by: dolfan | December 28, 2008 at 05:55 PM
What we need to do is try to get verticle when the wind is at our backs. I'm also expection Joey P to play lights out the next 2 quarters.

Is it me or do the Dolphins as a whole just seem to look much bigger physically than the Jets?
Posted by: Otto_Pilot | December 28, 2008 at 05:57 PM
Just win baby, I don't really care how at this point.

Posted by: AJ in ATL | December 28, 2008 at 05:57 PM
we need to run the ball and only pass the ball when it is needed. This jets d has been on the field so much we really need to sustain a long drive or 2 and we should have this
Posted by: michael | December 28, 2008 at 05:57 PM

Jets go ahead of the Fins shortly.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | December 28, 2008 at 06:01 PM
The Jets don't want the Baltimore score posted. They don't want their players scoreboard-watching. Same with Sparano, for that matter.
Posted by: Rico Tubbs | December 28, 2008 at 06:02 PM
Too many mistakes today!
Posted by: daryl | December 28, 2008 at 06:02 PM

The defense will show how thin they are this half.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | December 28, 2008 at 06:02 PM
Just too much time to throw for Fav-re
Posted by: Joel | December 28, 2008 at 06:03 PM
I realize that was a bad pass. But that is not good when the middle of the Miami defense leaves somebody that wide open.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 28, 2008 at 06:03 PM
They are going to try something to get into field goal range.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | December 28, 2008 at 06:03 PM

Dolphins cannot get into this kind of game where the Jets are runing the ball all over the place. OOps TD.
