If the young Dolphins are suffering from playoff jitters, they're not showing it.
The Dolphins converted a Baltimore Ravens fumble into a 3-0 advantage when the offense moved the ball pretty well on its first series.
The Ravens, no slouches they, answered with a field goal of their own.
The second quarter will show which of the two teams, if either, can break this tie.

Their D is too fast to run these long developing wide run plays for Ricky.

Their run package is terrible. I am glad Fasano gave the yards right back.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM
Fasano has now blown two blocks today. Sheesh.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM
Crap.
Drive killers.
This is gonna come down to who wants it the most.
Posted by: Matt in NC | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM
and Fasano is having a BAD day so far.
Posted by: Andrew H | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM
Fasano having a bad day trying to run block so far...
Posted by: azfin | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM
You can't run wide on the Ravens. They're too fast!
Posted by: daryl | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM
This drive is over, run the clock and punt.
Posted by: Joel | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM

Posted by: Mike W | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM

Posted by: jason | January 04, 2009 at 02:04 PM
Why are you GLAD, Hayden???
You tell us how much of a fan you are, but you are GLAD we lose yards deep on our end????
Unreal
Posted by: Matt in NC | January 04, 2009 at 02:05 PM
The play clock was at 0
Posted by: Armando Salguero | January 04, 2009 at 02:05 PM
The Phins couldnt run wide the last month. Why do they think it would work against BAL. I don't get it.
Posted by: Andrew H | January 04, 2009 at 02:05 PM
This offensive series is ugly.
Posted by: Joel | January 04, 2009 at 02:05 PM
I cannot believe they have not called Baltimore for holding when they are on offense. They have clutched and grabbed all game.
One word: HOCHULI
Posted by: Hayden Fox | January 04, 2009 at 02:06 PM
Maybe a coach called it Simms.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | January 04, 2009 at 02:06 PM
Agree completely - east-west runs will be swallowed whole today; swing passes are the way to go. Wonder what the over-under on Penny's attempts is today?
Posted by: Mark D | January 04, 2009 at 02:06 PM
Nice run by Ronnie
Posted by: Matt in NC | January 04, 2009 at 02:06 PM
Let's go offense. We look very vanilla so far!
Posted by: daryl | January 04, 2009 at 02:06 PM
The wildcat is a better option then running sideways.
Posted by: Andrew H | January 04, 2009 at 02:06 PM
Armando-Can they activate a wide reciever due to injury?
Posted by: David | January 04, 2009 at 02:06 PM
Screen to Cobbs
Posted by: Marc | January 04, 2009 at 02:07 PM
this is like watching your feet melt....the dolphins are getting beat in almost every individual matchup..the ravens play faster, stronger and harder. all the little things, mini-battles are won by the ravens...so far, not enough to jump the scoreboard, but you know they have that confidence
Posted by: love57 | January 04, 2009 at 02:07 PM
Are you kidding me?
Posted by: Andrew H | January 04, 2009 at 02:07 PM
WHYYY!!!!!

Posted by: Hayden Fox | January 04, 2009 at 02:07 PM
Wow, Pennington just throwing it up.
Posted by: Joel | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM

Posted by: love57 | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
i hate ed reed and ginn tripped over a hard piece of air
Posted by: jason | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
Makes me sick! Ginn fell down and Chad was way short!!!
Posted by: azfin | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
Ginn got LIT UP!
Posted by: Marc | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
didnt pennington get blocked in the back
Posted by: Mike W | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
A dead duck! Just throw to the outside so only the WR can get the ball
Posted by: Andrew H | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
That's Penny's weakness - that was an awful throw, too much altitude.
Posted by: Mark D | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
Why do our guys slip on our field?
Posted by: David | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
JUST PUNT THE BALL!!!
Posted by: Hayden Fox | January 04, 2009 at 02:08 PM
What an abortion of a play. Confusion before the play. Ginn doesn't look for the ball. Reed makes the INT. And at about the 30 yard line, the Baltimore defense started acting like a blocking convoy.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
Terrible- sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. F*cking embarassing.
Posted by: Rob in MLB | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
damn Pennington!!!
Posted by: farrington07 | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
MASSIVE hit on the return...
Posted by: Mark D | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
i just got the wind knocked out of me
Posted by: joey devilles crotch is rising | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
the flat was wide open and now there have been TWO passes towards Ginn and TWO INT'S!!
Posted by: nyfinfan | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
lol i said it
"chad INTS"
we lose.
see you next year folks.
Posted by: LOL | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
Still early we can still score some points before the half is over...
Posted by: azfin | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
Can we comment on the administration having 3 active WR's? That is so stupid.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
Why throw deep on 3rd and 8? Just get the first and milk clock.
Posted by: Andrew H | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
i have a pain in my chest and i cant breathe
Posted by: joey devilles crotch is rising | January 04, 2009 at 02:09 PM
LOL,
We thought you were already gone, you know, the last time something went bad.
Posted by: Matt in NC | January 04, 2009 at 02:10 PM
playcalling is horrible
Posted by: farrington07 | January 04, 2009 at 02:10 PM
Calm down everyone - it's 10-3...
But you have to hope Bess is able to return.
Mando - what are your hands like?
Posted by: Mark D | January 04, 2009 at 02:10 PM
I agree 9 wide recievers!
Posted by: David | January 04, 2009 at 02:10 PM
Like I said earlier, kill the clock and take it to half. We get the ball in the 3rd, regroup.
Posted by: Joel | January 04, 2009 at 02:10 PM
Anyone for a Jay Fiedler take care of the ball for the next two minutes?
Posted by: cbgb | January 04, 2009 at 02:11 PM
3 wide receivers
Posted by: David | January 04, 2009 at 02:11 PM
Mando, did we only activate 3 receivers for this game?
Posted by: azfin | January 04, 2009 at 02:11 PM
Go at Reed again while he's tired.
Posted by: darncart | January 04, 2009 at 02:11 PM
When did Pennington start channelling Brett Favre?
