Huizenga: Bill Parcells is going to stay

Wayne Huizenga may have left Dolphin Stadium as majority owner of the Dolphins for the last time this afternoon, but before exiting he revealed some news Miami fans will likely welcome.

Huizenga said Bill Parcells is coming back next year.

"Bill is going to stay," Huizenga said. "He told me the day before yesterday he was going to stay."

I also spoke with incoming owner Stephen Ross who indicated he expects Parcells to stay.

Its a good thing Parcells is staying. You losers still need plenty of help.

Not quite in the mood for extensive blogging, but I can say that for once, after a loss, I don't really feel like a loser.
And remember guys........ never again, take another victory for granted. Go Phins in 09'!!!!

Peace.

Agree FTIYM

Yay. Good Job Mando. That's one more thing to rejoice about today. That and the great run our team gave us!!!

I'd like to thank all of the players, coaches and management for one of the most satisfying seasons I can remember. The future is exciting! Armando, thanks, too.

Hey Teabag! Too bad your Jets got pushed out of the playoffs by our Dolphins.

So flacid Flacco will get trashed next week. He barely did anything today and it was given to him 5 times on turnovers in great field position. He couldn't carry Matt Ryans jock.

Oh Look....Another Band wagon Ravens fan or should I say a Jet-Fan. What's up Jetty?

Check list, Pats out of playoffs ? Yes.

Jets out of playoffs ? Yes.

Favre still a int machine ? Yes.

Balt going to be 1-1 in the playoffs
next week ? Yes.

to flacco teabag/ i didn't see flacco do anything today. he is very lucky he wasn't called on to win the game. he couldn't!!!!!

In Bill we trust!

Great job this season Mando.

I'm ready for the draft and free agency period.

I'd like to give thanks to Ireland and Sparano they did great jobs this year!

did I mention I was gay and that I'm as dumb as a box of hammers????

some one shoot me please! I'm worthless and my daddy hates me... I love man! big strong gay man!!!

Good news Armando, Thanks!

hey flacco guy, why don't you learn how to write?? if u had any education you should have said"I love MEN, big strong gay MEN" as in plural, Oh, sorry I forgot you're just an ignorant NYJ fan....

My prediction for Dolphins number one draft pick:

Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR Maryland.

He is big, fast and is not afraid to go over the middle. 6'3" and 220 and sub 4.4 40.

Thank God. This keeps the future bright!! Great season Dolphins...I will always remember it fondly.

got it! I love men! JETS suck!!

Big thanks to Bill Parcells, Jeff Ireland, Tony Sparano - and Chad Pennington - for giving South Florida a great football season. I am excited for the upcoming season and, for once, think that we finally have the right pieces in place to be a force in the NFL. Keep your heads up Miami!!! Ravens are doneski in Tennessee, and the only reason they made it is because certain players from The U got them there...so Baltimore natives, bow down and kiss our feet for blessing your city with such talent.

Yes, I will be returning to Miami in 2009. I am disappointed in our loss to Baltimore today. Although I am pleased with the teams performance and results in our first year here. Thank you Miami.

Sincerely
Duane Charles "Bill" Parcells

thank you mando for telling us this news.thank you dolphin players.what a ride this season was!!! good night bills fans. good night pat fans. good night jetboy fan..

Bill was staying all along,he's got unfinished business...........THANKS to ALL!! What a fun ride!! Stay tuned,MUCH MORE TO COME!!! Go FINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes! One year under the Master brought many dividends. Some say, one more year brings emeralds and other blessings. Confusious

Great News that Bill is staying!!!

If that is TRULY Parcells that took the time to post on this blog thanking fans, a REALLY classy move!

So much to be thankful for this season. I agree with "hurriphin" that although we were behind on the scoreboard after the game, we cannot/will not be DEFEATED!

We ARE AFC EAST CHAMPIONS!!!! NOBODY can take that away from us!

Great season Miami Players, front offce, fans!

As for next season....need a physical LB, another CB, a run-stuffing Safety, a couple of physical OL and, most importantly, a big-time WR.

I feel confident that we will see more Fasano/Long/Pennington moves than Wilford moves again this offseason.

need help at ILB, NT, S/CB and T/G. Maybe we can trade that bust wilford for a 6TH or 7RD pick...

OH God YES!

I was so scared of Carl Peterson coming to Miami...

BP has some work to do in the off season. Find a young NT in the Draft along with an ILB a FS a pass rushing OLB and some O line help.

To Armando, you bloggers, Misters Ross, Parcells, Ireland, Sparano and every Miami Dolphin from starters to practice squad to ball boys:

Enjoy, be proud and hold your heads high. This is a good lesson and a great season. This is already a class organization with credibility.
In defeat or victory you are men and women who can be proud.

need a WR Bey from Maryland

need playmakes

OL and DL
need another pass rusher
Secondary should be upgraded in FA

BREAKING NEWS:CHAD.P AND DOLPHINS PLAYERS THEY ARE TO EARTH AND REALITY AFTER ED REED DELEIVERD KNOCK OUT PUNCH WITH 4 INTERCEPTION .NOW SAY AFTER ME :AFRADO WAS RIGHT. POSTED BY AFRADO

Parcells, Sparano and team made a huge advance this year. From last to in-the-hunt. I am very happy that Parcells will remain to bring his intelligence and unstinting insistence on excellence to the team. Ravens game helped show what is needed next. Our offensive and defensive lines are vastly improved but are still not at a point of dominance. The Ravens consistently penetrated to Pennington and stopped our runners in the backfield. In contrast Flacco was well protected - we rarely got a hand on him. There are other needs - wide receiver, controlling cornerback but if you don't win up front, you don't win consistently. In any event, great progress this year. With a good draft and free agency we can move to the level of being a competitive playoff team. Can't wait for next year.

Dear all caps doofus, get a life and a team that isn't full of drive by criminals !

Awesome! Thanks for the information, Armando.

Joe "Unibrow" Flacco wasn't anything special today. What beat us today was our own QB...Pennington. The Ravens aren't good enough to win it all so enjoy it while you can bird brains. I think Miami plays Baltimore again next year so I'll be looking forward to that game.

Congradulations to Huizenga's Dolphins. It starts from the top. 27 million to fire the coaching staff from last year to bring in Parcells. Great job to Bill Parcelss and EVERYONE in the organization. It just doesn't happen without Huizenga's passion for wanting to win. A historic ending with a new beginning. To the die hard Fin Fans- great loyalty in standing behind your team! Almost all organizations will not commit to changing at any cost to win. Soak it up!!

Looks like ALL CAPS MAN doesn't even have his G.E.D., haha. Idiots that don't even have a decent command of the English language have no business posting on a blog!

Not much in the mood for blogging either but I have to say something. I was at the game and I'm glad I was there. It was a packed house although Dolphin fans still amaze me. All they want to do is eatm drink and talk. They show up late to a playoff game while in the parking lot getting fat! This is not to trash all Dolphins fans, some are die hard fans!!! Stay until the end of the game and show your support, don't leave with 10 minutes remaining, and again with 5 minutes on the clock! Anyways as for the team! I am truly disappointed, not that we lost, but the way we lost. That's not how we play football! We gave ourselves NO CHANCE to win! Penny had a bad game but without Penny we wouldn't be here, PERIOD. He also got no protection! Aside from that we played sloppy offense, drops, mistakes, turnovers, penalties! And we still had a chance after all that 21-9, our ball on 30. Then the Teddy fumble to lose 17 yards! It's just that kind of day, he had the corner for 6 or a huge gain. We score a TD we're down 3 to 5 points. We get a FG we're down 8 points, ONE SCORE! But we fumble our way out of FG range, what can you do. 9 out of 10 times that doesn't happen, maybe 99 of 100! So many game changing plays other than that too! The pick 6 by Reed! The Cobbs fumble in our territory! The pick inside the 5 by Reed when we were about to score! Too many big plays that all went against us! Ed Reed is the best Safety of all time! ever! I have no hate for the Ravens even though at the game I did! I was emotional and angry! I yelled in all their faces "Lets go Titans" and "We GAVE you the best safety of all time and the best MLB of all time", as in the "U". I'm a huge Cane fan and I love Reed, Lewis and Willis. I've been watching them since their Cane days, they are amazing! Today I hated them all! But after the game I love them again! I respect them and I am honestly now pulling for the Ravens after talking all that s h i t! Ed Reed and Sean Taylor were my favorite Canes ever! I'm pulling for Ray and Ed now. I HATE the Jets, I HATE the Pats, I HATE the BILLS! I don't HATE the Ravens. Congrats Ravens, your defense is awesome but that is because of Miami's GIFTS to you! RAY LEWIS AND ED REED! YOUR WELCOME and good luck! Remember us in Miami, the "U" and the Dolphins everytime our Canes make plays! Which is all day every day!

GO CANES!

GO DOLPHINS!

That all being said while I'm upset at the way we lost, I AM SO DAM PROUD OF MY TEAM! SO DAM PROUD TO BE A DOLPHIN! AND I WAS A DOLPHIN LAST YEAR DURING 1-15 TOO. I'VE BEEN A DOLPHIN SINCE THE DAY I WAS BORN, 30 YEARS AGO! BE PROUD DOLFANS! WHAT A HECK OF A SEASON THIS TEAM GAVE US! WE JUST DIDN'T HAVE IT TODAY, IT HAPPENS! BE PROUD! THE BEST TURNAROUND IN SPORTS HISTORY! SPORTS!!!!! not just NFL! So while it's natural to be uspet, WE ALL ARE IN SOME WAY! APPRECIATE WHAT WE HAVE AND LET'S GET NASTY NEXT YEAR! I LOVE MY DOLPHINS 4 LIFE!!!! 1-15 and 11-5! all day everyday!

The best is yet to come. A renewed belief in winning and a Championship mindset are going to keep the Fins moving forward next year. 1-15 to Division Champs, what a year! To bad for Chad today - not the way he wanted to finish out the year but hey, it was great to have a rock solid field General this season. Look forward to the future. Is it August '09 yet???

oh and one more thing since I only knocked our offense and their mistakes there was one more thing. While our defense played well for the most part until the end. WHERE WAS OUR PASS RUSH? Granted Flacco gets the ball out quickly but daaaaam! Well we know what we need ao let the Tuna, Ireland and Tony go get their kind of guys and we'll be the better for it! Imagine another draft with an extra 2nd rd pick! The future looks bright! I'm excited! LETS GO DOLPHINS!!!!!

Good thing Parcells is staying on at least one more year, I think it's obvious that this team needs to get more physical, especially along the line of scrimmage. Parcells is the right man for this job.

Personally, I thought that Satele and Carey really blew this game. Satele in particular was allowing too much pressure to be placed on Pennington. That was really why he had 4 INT's on the day. Baltimore's defensive front was getting in Pennington's face, forcing him to hurry throws into tight coverage. They were VERY aggressive with their blitz packages.

The reason why we lost is very simple. We actually won the time of possession and had a minimal amount of penalties. It's very hard to come from behind when your QB throws 4 Int's on the day to only 1 TD. I think that our offensive gameplan should have focused more on the short to intermediate range throws. We did have some success on those routes, but for whatever reason, Henning was calling for throws downfield, even after all those INT's were thrown. I didn't think the gameplan on offense was that good overall.

As for the draft, we're going to be picking about 25 or so. When you're in that position, you draft the best talent available. Just taking a broad look at the talent available, I suspect we'll be taking either a WR or a O-lineman with that top pick. It all depends on the talent that's on the board when we pick. If I were to make a bet, I suspect we'll probably take an offensive lineman who'll replace Vernon Carey. His pass protection has been poor this year and his run blocking not much better. Also, we might see Satele playing another position on the line. The Trifecta prefers bigger centers, and looking at this game, it is obvious to see why. He might be a decent guard. Expect the Trifecta to take at least 2 linebackers in the draft, and possibly add another one via. free agency.

We will probably pick up another WR or two in free agency. I would bring in T.J. Houshmanzeh to be our #1 WR, plus another low to moderately priced free agent. The best receivers on our roster would barely be a #3 on most other teams. This needs to be upgraded.

Of all the free agents on our roster, I'd resign Goodman and Bell. Crowder and as I mentioned earlier, Carey can walk. Renaldo Hill can be resigned for a low priced contract. I'd also look into trading Ronnie Brown for a high draft pick.

MR:DOLFANMAN.........PLEASE CAN YOU WRITE IN SIMLE WORDS WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TODAY TO YOUR TEAM.IWNAT THAT WRITTEN VERY GOOD ENGLISH GRAMMAR MOSTLY THE PART ABOUT THE 4 INTERCEPTIONS.THEN GO DRINK SOME MILK. POSTE BY ED REED LOGIC LOGIC

Congrats to Baltimore on a well played game. I believe you will take down Tennessee and can give Pittsburgh a good run at the Superbowl.

I am proud of my Phins. Despite the passing game today, I still am very hopeful to lock Pennington in for a few more years. I believe he is the perfect fit for our team. A field general and an all-around asset to our team. I am proud to wear my phins gear now. Finally.

This off-season I believe we need to focus on a few key areas. We must get Camarillo healthy. He is a solid WR. With Cammy coming back we still need a big play WR. A tall physical guy. We must add some more depth to our O-Line. On defense we need someone to compliment Porter. Porter by himself is not enough to create a pass rush. I believe we must up-grade Crowder and up-grade Renaldo Hill. We need another CB as well. I do think W Allen and Goodman are coming along, but we need one more.

I look forward to next season. The worst part about today is knowing that I will have to go 7 months without football.

I'll take 11-5 anyday. Good job guys! F Cam Moron!!

TEABAG proves what GAYS Jet fans are...only they would come up with something so disgusting...all NY'ers who come to S.Florida, sell their crack and cocaine, and dirty our beautiful city, need to take I-95 North UNTIL YOU SMELL IT and go back to NY.
You're not welcome in NY, and you're not welcome here...GayBoys.
GO FINS...
J - E - T - S spells Just Ended The Season!!

it' amazing to me that the reason for the loss is the inability to throw down the field and we all look past that. the defense keyed on the speed of penny's passes and the rest was a no brainer.. Question is why wasn't there a QB change with all the interceptions going on.. We heard all about farves 3 interceptions and he should have been replaced in the game. Penny should have been replaced by Henne to give the team a chance. He gave us a chance to get there yes, but that doesn't mean we give away the game for repayment. Who knows what Henne could have done during the year He had better stats in college than flacio or ryan. He should ask should demand to be traded so another team can respect the talent and give him a chance to play.

Yeah...Cam on the sideline whispering into his clipboard...what a loser! He couldn't head coach a team in a million years, and acts like his offense did something to win this game...if not for their great defense, they LOSE!
Cam is a moron...can't coach, can pick a decent player in the draft...he**, he can't do anything. His day will come, and the Dolphins will get back at the Ravens really, really soon - you'll all see...especially since Parcells has announced that he's returning next year, and don't be surprised if he stays longer...INSIDERS say HE LOVES SOUTH FLORIDA and is SICK OF THE COLD WEATHER...
Cam: You sucked and we're all glad you're gone.
GO FINS!!

Way to go fins. Now we have identity. We play to win. Long time I haven't seen this team with this attitude.

Thanks for the great season. Next year will be better.

i hear all the time GO FINS.BUT WHERE WHERE WHERE .ITHINK I KNOW TO DISNY.POSTED BY MAYSTRO

u all must be idiots just wait until henne gets into the game you have got to remember the preseason with him and ginn... he hit ginn on huge gains consistently but penny can't because ginn out runs his arm just getting started on his route and did you see teddy drawing double coverage consistently .... when henne is our qb u ll see ginny excell... your talking around 60 catches this yr after the horrible coaching from lasy year ... can't wait until free agency and draft at least we saved a couple of spots up in the draft instead of winning and then loosing next wk...

You don't throw a rookie QB in a game against the leagues number 2 defense when the offensive line can't stop the rush! What sense does it make to take a chance in getting your young unexperienced QB hurt or to ruin any confidence he might have going into next season. Rookie QBs learn all the time behind experienced QBs and Henne playing behind Penny all year is going to pay big time dividends in the future. Penny is all class and is one of the hardest working QBs in the NFL. What better way to prepare for a long NFL carreer than to learn how to practice, study, act, and be a leader. The idea is that Pennys presence and work ethic rubs off on Henne and he adds all of those qualities to an already strong accurate arm. Just let the football guys do the thinking, you are doing fine being a fan and I'm pretty sure Parcells,Sparano, and Ireland don't need advice on how to run a football team.

DOLPHINS NEX YEAR RECORD 3-13 BYLOGIC

4/12

No Way Next Year Record Is' 5-11

thank you for the update armando. And thank you for all the relentless reporting you did this season.

A great first season.

next year record 1-15 repeat yes.

Lots of Jets fans (by the way, I am from NY and the Jets are laughing stocks) trying to piss us off...Ravens fans...Your team will not be champs either...Your better right now but it will never last.

Dolphins will kick ass next year.10-6 at worst. No one can tell now what an easy or hard schedule is dopes.

So what's worse, losing a playoff game or being the jets ? They have a very old, turnover machine at QB, one of the biggest draft busts in history in Gholston, a old team and 20-30 mil
over the 2009 cap. Oh and no head coach, especially one who wants to inherit the old, turnover machine QB.

OH I FORGOT ABOUT THE SCHEDULE .IT'S GOING TO BE WAY WORST.RECORD NEXT YEAR 1/15
