The Steelers have completed a long pass to Hines Ward. They have two others to TE Heath Miller. They've even run the Wildcat package to Willie Parker.
And they are leading the Arizona Cardinals, 10-0, after one quarter of Super Bowl Extra Large III. The Steelers are dominating, holding a 7-1 advantage in first downs in the firs quarter.
The first Pittsburgh TD, on the second play of the second quarter, came when Gary Russell scored from one yard out. Arizona has had the football only five plays.
OK, the live blog continues in the comments section below. See you there.

Game's not over guys. Hang in there.

That pass to Breaston is nice but the Cards aren't winning today throwing to him and not Larry Fitzgerald.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:17 PM
Cardinals completing passes to James and Breaston and Pope. But until they throw to Fitzgerald and Boldin this attack is a joke.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:18 PM
mando why are they not 5 wide in the shotgun. do people for get the patriots ripping the steeler a new one last year.
Posted by: eddie from new england | February 01, 2009 at 07:19 PM
That's what I'm freaking talking about. The Dolphins should try to trade for Boldin at halftime!!!!
Just kidding. By the way, other teams that would be interested in him are Giants, Jaguars, Tennessee, BAltimore.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:22 PM
Seriously: I would give up a second for Boldin.
What is the MOST you guys would give for Boldin?
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:23 PM
Armando,
What have you heard about the progression of Chad Henne? Anything new? I am still happy with Pennington as the primary option for next year. Just want to know if he is learning and developing at a reasonable pace.
Thanks for your information and posts. Gives me good info on my Dolphins as I stay trapped in NE territory.
Posted by: Glenn in New Hampshire | February 01, 2009 at 07:25 PM
It all depends on what is available in the 1st when we pick. If Boldin is better, than trade the pick while on the clock.
Posted by: Joel | February 01, 2009 at 07:25 PM
I would give our 1st 2nd and a conditional 5th

Posted by: Mike W | February 01, 2009 at 07:25 PM
At the end of last season, Henne was thinking he was ready to be a starter. That doesn't mean he really was, but he believed he was.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:26 PM
Mando
I hope you read that as meaning our first 2nd round pick not our 1st rd and 2nd round
Posted by: Mike W | February 01, 2009 at 07:26 PM
Mike, I'm glad you're not Miami's GM. You'd give away one-third of Miami's draft? Come on man!
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:27 PM
We can't draft another green WR, we need a vet but not Housh b/c he's too old and i don't think that fast. What other FA WR's are there?
Posted by: Joel | February 01, 2009 at 07:27 PM
OK, my bad. I thought you were giving up Miami's first, second and a fifth. Sorry.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:29 PM
I would give up the second round pick but nothing more.
Posted by: Tony T Bone | February 01, 2009 at 07:30 PM
Mando
No I would give up two picks
our first 2nd round pick we got for taylor from Washington
and a conditional 5th depending on year end stats
Posted by: Mike W | February 01, 2009 at 07:31 PM
Joel, I am compiling the ENTIRE list of UFAs. I'll put it on the blog tomorrow.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:31 PM
Which second rounder T Bone?
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:31 PM
Mando are they double teaming fitzgerald?
Posted by: Tony T Bone | February 01, 2009 at 07:32 PM
We would be competing with other clubs for Boldin tahts why i'd give up the conditional 5th....
Posted by: Mike W | February 01, 2009 at 07:33 PM
Glad Henne has self confidence. Shouldn't suit up if you don't feel like you can run the offense. What is the scuttlebutt out of the meetings and practices? Do you get a vibe that the organization is satisfied with Henne? What do you think? Thanks!
Posted by: Glenn in New Hampshire | February 01, 2009 at 07:33 PM
Parcells thinks Henne is the real deal. That is why I am thinking Pennington won't get a big contract extension unless he plays great next year. And I do mean GREAT!
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:35 PM
The first second round pick Mando.

I don't think Danica Patrick is all that. Kinda partial to Joan Salguero myself. Luckily, you guys won't find her on the internet.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:41 PM

Did they say anything interesting, Eddie?
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:42 PM
Is it me or are the CArds offensive coaches kinda getting outcoached by not figuring out how to get the ball to Fitzgerald?
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:45 PM
Does she get naked in the shower on the website?
Posted by: Eric | February 01, 2009 at 07:47 PM
Fitzgerald catches his first pass with 41 seconds left in the first half.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:48 PM
You sound like you're about to leave this website very soon Eric. Come back after you watch the commercial.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:49 PM
Any chance of Zach or Jason back in a Miami uniform to actually play not just for show?
Posted by: Joel | February 01, 2009 at 07:50 PM
no they kinda just got away quick but thats ok i am just looking for any sign of a qb who can shit on the patriots and brady.
Posted by: eddie from new england | February 01, 2009 at 07:51 PM
James Harrison with perhaps the wildest defensive TD in SB history ahead of Mike Bass return of a Garo pass in SB 7.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:54 PM
ok game over, also time to change the channel or get some food, because the left wing looney liberal socialist is about to perform at halftime.
Posted by: billy bob | February 01, 2009 at 07:54 PM
Joel, that would shock me. Plus Zach is under contract.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | February 01, 2009 at 07:55 PM
That could cost them the game.
Posted by: Eric | February 01, 2009 at 07:57 PM
STRONG Billy Bob.
