A couple of days ago I shared with you how Laveranues Coles didn't make sense for the Dolphins, especially at his $6 million asking price that I now suggest to you is dropping like lead in water.
Well, ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting the Dolphins have no interest in Coles at $6 million. Or at $5 million. Or at $3 million. Or at $1.85 and a box of popcorn.
Citing a team source, Mortensen is reporting the Dolphins spoke to Coles' agent only to say they weren't interested. So this should put an extinguisher on the hot stove Coles talk ...
... unless the Dolphins are orchestrating all this to seriously, seriously, seriously drive down the price for Coles just before becoming, you know, suddenly interested. It would not mark the first time the team changes its collective mind on an issue as fluid situations change (remember Bill Parcells saying, "We will not trade Jason Taylor?").
Of course, the Dolphins might be putting out accurate information this time. In which case we should all applaud the team resisting the temptation to add a 31-year-old receiver who, as you read in my previous blog post, is on the descent rather than the ascent.

If you're going to impersonate people at least slow down and spell george correctly when you switch names back.

There's an Alienman impersonation.
"I know more football" is a term the impersonator commonly uses.
Once again, if you're going to do something then do it right. Come up with some different phrases.
You've also got a dead give away when impersonating nj phin fan.
Posted by: Sprovo | March 02, 2009 at 02:14 PM

OK, njfinfan... your best point so far about Cutler. I'll give you that one. He's still young though, and by no means a prima donna like T.O. or a diva WR though. He hasn't been a poison in the locker room, already has a number of 4th Q game-winning drives, has good accuracy, and his arm-strength is top 3 in the NFL. Guy still has the upside and would warrant a 1st and 3rd rounder from a wanting team, IMO. If it's not the Fins I'm fine with that. I'm not in love with Cutler. But I do think he is a very, very good QB, and will only get better.

GUYS- I'm going to be using this name now instead of Alienman, and I'm trying to get Luggi/monkey/cardoza etc.'s IP address banned.
Armando has already responded to an e-mail I sent him about this guy... IF YOU WANT THIS GUY BANNED, E-MAIL ARMANDO AT: asalguero@miamiherald.com . He is "impostoring" many different people, and using multiple user names, and completely ruining the integrity of the blog, so I encourage y'all to e-mail Armando!
Posted by: Alienzfin | March 02, 2009 at 02:24 PM
Great, now he'll sign with Buffalo and continue to torment our secondary. The guy is a Dolphins' killer...

Posted by: cadoza | March 02, 2009 at 02:46 PM
I'm not responding to anyone that doesn't have a typekey account. Its so simple that a Jets fan could do it so get your name registered before the idiot does.
Its the same interface they use on the SS blog, you can use the same log in on both. Click register, fill in 4 boxes and you're done.
Do that and you won't have to worry about an impostor.

ALIENZFIN , besides his poor leadership qualities, How about that gunslinger mentality that leads him throwing into tight coverage that leads to ints. Also did you read my posts from yesterdays blog ? I have a bone to pick with you. 1. in my response to cutler and his diabeties ( Which my uncle is very sick from ), what part of god forbid ( which you failed t mention in your rant ) you didn't understand ? 2 . a poster named kevin and a poster named psedophin 13 were calling me yankee in good natured ribbing. So of course i came back with the lines REDNECK and GOT NASCAR . Next time i suggest you read the prvious posts or MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS !!! Other than that , i have no problem with you.

Guys , i think vonnie holliday got cut. He was due a roster bonus on march 3rd.

Miami needs a WR and a
CB. There are plenty of CB's that are still FA's. I would like to see Miami pursue one of the following:
Chris McAllister
Dre Bly
Bryant McFadden
Philip Buchanon
I'd even like to see Travis Daniels back.
On the WR position, I would love for us to make a serious push for Housh. He is a tough receiver with great hands.

I love that in five short paragraphs, Armando still finds a way to stroke his own ego multiple times. You're one in a million, Armando.

$1.85 and a box of popcorn seems reasonable to me
Posted by: Bobaloo | March 02, 2009 at 05:40 PM
I can't believe there are still idiots who think we need to trade Teddy Ginn. He was only in his second year last year. Keep in mind he was playing as the #1 receiver last year. Imagine drafting a receiver and having him play #2 against other teams' #2 corner.
Receivers typically have a big jump in their 3rd and 4th year.
Posted by: Funkadelic | March 02, 2009 at 06:41 PM
Good thing he's not going to The Dolphins, as a NY Jets Fan I would rather not see that reunion of him and Pennington and Parcells in The Jets division. Hope he goes back to Washington.
Posted by: Sportstuffblog | March 02, 2009 at 07:50 PM
NJ- Remember our boy Danny Constantine? I like the gun-slinger mentality. I know Favre was kind of a love 'em or hate him type, but Green Bay won a coupe SB's with him gunslinging, and it will always be my favorite style of QB if their skills can match it up. I think Cutler will also get better about the INT's... again, this new season will only be his 3rd as a starter.
Otherwise... Fair enough, I agree you said God forbid and weren't wishing harm on him. I was trying to say that his doctors have all said that he is "go" for a long, full NFL career. Unfortunately, my dad and your uncle wouldn't have access to the medical Dr's that NFL players have the luxury of continued access to. So I believe them.
As far as the NASCAR stuff etc., I was just trying to get under your skin. You said some stuff about me, so then of course I turn around and see what I can do to return the favor. LOL. So we're good. At least you're a real fin fan with real opinions, and not some multiple identity faker.

as long as chad p is qb it won;t make a difference if we have a true no.1 wr.he can not air it out.thus short passes to bess/cammy/a wr screens to ginn .
