Most of your were not too impressed by the fact the Dolphins brought cornerback Demarcus Faggins to town Wednesday for a free agent looksee. Faggins, a seven-year veteran of the Houston Texans, is looking for work because his old team is going in a different direction.
Well, the Dolphins aren't the only team interested in Faggins.
On Thursday, Faggins visited with the Tennessee Titans. And today he is scheduled to visit the Cleveland Browns. Miami, Cleveland and Tennessee are all looking for depth at cornerback.
The Dolphins need a starter at cornerback despite the signing of Eric Green earlier this month, but that's another issue -- one that may not be resolved until the end of training camp when someone will undoubtedly win the job opposite Will Allen.

A bottom dwelling fish found around wrecks, reefs they can grow from 3 to 15 lbs and some spices can top out at 300 to a 800 lbs (the jewfish) good stuff, unfortunately its hard to get up here in the north east, so every time i make it back home we go fishing unfortunately its illegal to catch jewfish which is too bad because you would have enough fish for a neighborhood

If you want to help the team, Mando, simply write a bogus story about some dip player that supposedly has great stats. Tell everyone that he is coming to Miami. Watch every blogger, scout and agent in 31 other cities and beyond go crazy and the teams fight over some dufus that can't play football. Derek Fagin??? sheesh, that cat ain't news.
Parcells loses 50 lbs. Now that would be news.
To answer the question, I think that the starter ain't here yet unless Allen learns how to play over the summer.

I think that Jason Allen will have an opportunity to win the starting CB job opposite of Will Allen going into OTA's, Mini Camps, and finally Training Camp. But I don't totally rule out the possibility of the Phins drafting a good CB w/size in the 1st round of this years draft. Ive heard it stated on various Sirius NFL Radio programs that the Phins are probably going to go with either a CB or LB with our 1st round pick. If we go CB i really think they would probably go after Darius Butler from UConn. He has size, speed, and a brain. We definitely need some size this season when it comes to matching up a/g Moss and Welker from N.E. and T.O. with the Bills.
As for pass rusher, everything ive read and heard bout this Cameron Wake kid is that he is the real deal. He has good instincts and can rush the passer. He had 39 sacks in 2 yrs up in the CFL. I read some of the articles from CFL teams saying that some of them are glad to see him back in the US because he was hard to block and to keep track off.
I cant wait for the draft and for the season to start.
Go Phins!

Probably no one saw as much Jason Allen in college as I did being I’m a Vol Alum. No one has ever led Tennessee in tackles not named Linebacker until Jason Allen accomplished that feat. I’ve not seen any articles state he didn’t have the physical tools to become a starter. After Nick, Nick, Cam, Tony and now Tony again I’m assuming this thing between Jason Allen’s ears preventing his from becoming consistent and reliable will be eradicated in a contract year and from Parcell’s influence. I believe he was accountable for a short period last year before he broke his hand. The best proof I have for Allen becoming an NFL starter is the same fact a 1-15 team became an 11-5 AFC East championship team. Off season conditioning, Competition, Coaching and Parcell’s big boot.

Not only is the corner opposite w. allen going to be passed around by guys who aren't of starting quality, but what happens if allen gets injured? I want the fish to draft a couple of corners, but I don't think there is value in the first round. However, that means a later round value probably won't be able to start right away. I want to see ken lucas in teal and orange. And please don't waste the first round choice on a wide receiver. I understand the dolphin's needs, but I say take the best value. I like the lineman out of arizona. Create a dominant offensive line unit and turn the guy into a guard who can sub at tackle. Then, build the defense.

I think someone will get released by their team (ala Chad Pennington) and they will wind up being the starter.
Posted by: mrmikejohnson | March 20, 2009 at 10:49 PM
we should sign JT.. we could use him as saban used him.
plus new englands defense sucked last year and unless the get Julius Peppers ,JT or someother great pass rusher they are going to suck this year 2, Tom Brady is coming off an injury and whos their running back? Lawrence Maroney Please...for belicheats sake Brady better not miss a beat... Jets have no QB end of story.
The bills are the one that scare me. but trent edwards is another trent green with all those concusion, its just like pringles unfortunatly once u pop the fun dont stop. and T.O is like a ticking locker room time bomb.
We need to upgrade wide receiver, but we proved we could win with the receiving corp So draft Receiver...
.. we had and weve added depth to both lines..
..We gotta sign a veteran corner with something left in his tank and draft a CB..

Posted by: cuban menace | March 20, 2009 at 11:51 PM
I think we will draft a corner in the second round in lieu of the first. There are no true cover corners in the first round. I like the idea of drafting the following-
1st-passrushing outside linebacker
2a-cb
2b-wr
3-NT
Matt Roth did an ok job for us but we need an OLB in the mold of Demarcus Ware (that Tuna drafted in Dallas). Then Roth can move back to DE for run support.
Posted by: buckeyefinfan | March 21, 2009 at 12:09 AM
The starter will be whover Miami drafts in the first 3 rounds at db. Oh sure, maybe for the first 4 games Green will win the job. I think its pretty clear what this regime thinks of Jason Allen. If they had any faith in him at all they wouldnt be bringing in scrubs like Faggins to replace him...weak Sabin!
Posted by: Micah Vargo | March 21, 2009 at 12:37 AM
You have a good point, buckeyefinfan.
Posted by: The Cuban Assassin | March 21, 2009 at 12:39 AM
Buckeyefinfan , you have to be a complete idiot or simply don't know football . How's roth going to play de in the 3-4 ?. He's to small for end in the 3-4 . You just moved the guy to olb , so now your going to toy around with him again by moving back to a position he's to small for . Please , get a clue !
Posted by: Bill Parcells | March 21, 2009 at 01:11 AM
What the hell is up with the love for jason allen? he is constantly out of position and his recovery speed is non-existent! not only did he get burnt by moss ( who doesn't ) but, he also looked marginal against lesser wr's. I don't think he has a future in miami because if the team felt that he was starter material they would not be as active in the db market. jason allen just does't seem to be catching on to the sceme even though most of the physical tools are there. unfortunately too many people here have never played real football and have a hard time understanding the mental aspects of the game. you can have all the talent in the world but, if your lost on the field your useless. bye bye jason allen you just don't get it but, your not alone.
Posted by: eric green | March 21, 2009 at 02:18 AM
There are some good corners in the draft. Sean Smith, maybe Vontae Davis will fall to Miami at #25. And late in the draft there is Bruce Johnson from the hurricanes. The trifecta is signing corners for competition and insurance.

To Mr. RexRyanSucks:
In Dante's "Inferno," the hottest circle in Hell is reserved for Brutus, Judas Iscariot and those who unfairly malign CubanMenace.
Just remember what the Book of Genesis says: "I will bless those who bless you [the Israelites/Hebrews/Jews], and curse those who curse you." CubanMenace is an honorary Hebrew for his steadfast defense of the lone democracy and lonely outpost of freedom and Western values in the Middle East - Israel. Should this country ever turn its back on its stalwart ally, Israel [or CubanMenace], as unfortunately the current administration appears intent on doing, woe to the fate of this wonderful land that Lincoln correctly called "the last best hope of mankind."
Please govern yourself accordingly.
